In 2014, Sony sold Vaio to focus on its other products. Since then, nobody had heard from Vaio until now. According to reports, Vaio and Nexstgo have signed a licensing deal that allows Nexstgo to take over the manufacturing and selling aspect of Vaio laptops. The teaser of the laptop has been released on Flipkart. The teaser just has a tagline that says,’ Lighter than your past’ and nothing else. The company is trying to get fans excited for its return with a short and concise message. No details like the launch date, price, specifications of the laptop have been revealed. To shed more light on the issue, Seema Bhatnagar, Regional Business Director for South Asia, of Nexstgo said, “In January, the brand will officially unveil her first AMD model together with another model specially design for the modern office and start selling from one of the leading e-commerce portal – Flipkart, then to further extend to other major retail channels.” So it is clear that Vaio laptops will come to India in January 2021, but the exact date is unclear. Vaio hopes to regain its lost glory and capture the market share it once had. It was one of the leading laptop companies in the last decade and the company hopes to be back on top. The CEO of Nexstgo, Alex Chung shared his excitement at Vaio’s comeback and said, “We at Nexstgo are thrilled to reintroduce Vaio to Indian audiences, with a wide range of finest-quality laptops in the coming 3 months. With the launch, we aim to expand our distribution network in India and clock a phenomenal growth by 2020. We are honored to be Vaio’s key partner, and work together with Vaio to rebuild her brand position in India.” The road ahead of Vaio is going to be a long one, as it has many competitors like Dell, HP, Samsung, and Xiaomi. We are excited to see what Vaio has in store for us. If you’ve any thoughts on Vaio Laptops Return to India with Nexstgo, then feel free to drop in below comment box.
