According to a tweet from Google India, “Working closely with @ICMRDELHI & @mygovindia, Google Maps, Google Assistant and Search are now beginning to surface testing centers in Hindi, English & 7 regional languages. Before going to a testing center, call the Govt. of India helpline – 1075 & get a doctor’s prescription.”
How to find the Covid-19 testing center with Google Search, Assistant, and Maps?
It is clearly mentioned that Google India is closely working with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and MyGov so that they can provide true and authorized information to the users. Users can use this feature very easily, you can search like “Covid-19 testing”, or “Coronavirus testing”, or something similar to these keywords on Google apps including Google search, Assistant, and Maps. Conspicuously, the new feature from Google also tells that either the testing lab is a private entity or a government authorized lab. For now, the feature is available in English and 8 other languages including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam. Google has integrated more than 700 Covid-19 testing centers with Google Search, Google Assistant, and Google Maps across 300 cities in the country. Previously, the Indian government including central and state both, also tried to launch an app Aarogya Setu that is similar to the new feature from Google which let us find the Covid-19 testing center with Google Apps.
